Aishwarya Rai and Gurinder Chadha to work together again.
If everything goes to plan Aishwarya will be seen in Gurinder's next Hollywood venture Mistress of Spices as the title role player.
Gurinder directed Aishwarya in 'Bride & Prejudice which recieved mixed reviews from critics in the UK and the US, being labeled neither true Bollywood nor true Hollywood by trying to be all things to all audiences the movie missed the mark.
This time the movie will be directed by husband Paul Mayeda Berges, in a movie based on the novel The Mistress of Spices, written by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni.
Hollywood star Dylan McDermott will play opposite Aishwarya Rai, it was reported that Gurinder Chadha wanted to casting Johnny Depp in the place of Dylan McDermott.
Aishwarya Rai will play Tilo, an Indian woman, who runs a spice shop in Oakland, and who is trained in the ancient art of healing with spices.
The story will revolve around Aishwarya Rai's Tilo the mistress of spices, following Tilo as she falls in love with an American, played by Dylan McDermott, the story takes on a new twist.
Deepak Nayar will produce the new venture, and Mistress of Spices’ will be shot extensively in Northern California.
The film company is ready to shoot the movie, but a start date has yet to be agreed.
